New bachelor's students
Accept your study place
On the 28th of July 2023, you will receive an admission letter in postbox.ruc.dk. You must accept or reject your study place no later than the 6th of August.
If you have been offered "conditional admission", you must make sure to comply with the conditions for admission within the deadline stated in the letter.
Introduction period 16th-28th of August 2023
As a part of your study start at RUC we have arranged an intro-period where you create the foundation to your social life at the university. This is where you'll see the university and meet your fellow students for the first time.
The intro-period has been arranged by a group of committed volunteer students, your tutors, who will welcome you to the university and life as a student.
All important information about the intro-period, including the program, the rustrip and more, can be found on our website: ruc.dk/en/study-start-bachelor or in the welcome letter from your tutors which can be found here: sr-ruc.dk/studiestart-2023.
How to RUC
Before you start at RUC, you also get access to "How to RUC", which is our online study start course that helps you get started with your education. Here you get an online introduction to Roskilde University and what it is like to study at a university.
You will have access to How to RUC from August 10th, when you will receive your enrollment letter with a link to the course.
Activate your RUC login and e-mail account
Once you accept your study place, and fulfill any requirements, you will be formally enrolled. You will then receive an enrollment letter. You can get your username and password for your RUC login and e-mail account after receipt of this letter.
If you have a Danish CPR-number and MitID, you can activate your RUC login here.
If you do not have a Danish MitID, you can see in your enrollment letter how to get your RUC login.
Your username and password is your log in to all RUC's IT systems, e-mail account, Intra and Moodle. You can also download Microsoft 365 for free, incl. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. As long as you are a student at RUC, it is free for you.
Order your student card
Once you have activated your RUC login, you can order your student card. You can either upload your own photo and order your student card here, or you can go to the photo booth in Building 03 to take your picture and order the card there.
When the card is ready, you will receive an email stating when to pick it up at the Service Desk in Building 03.
Apply for public transportation discount
After 1 August, you can apply for an "Ungdomskort" (student discount on public August transportation). Please note that you are not entitled to the discount until 1 September, as that is the formal start date of your education.
